With this sense of relief came the crushing weight of guilt and grief, and the form of his mother vanishing into the shadows if Blackfeather haunted him still. For much if his life she had been the one he felt the greatest love for, and now, he had left her.
early morning had come and he had left the litter group in silence, intending only to go a short ways before turning back. He simply needed to be alone, he decided, and figure out how to rid himself of this weight.
but another figurfigure had caught his attention, as girl seen easily in contrast to the snow that blanketed the land now. A pack was near, for he had scented their borders faintly as the wind had blown in his favour, and it was only logical that she belong there.
He wooded a greeting, approaching amiably the girl, small smile on his face. The weight lingered still in the back of his mind, yet was ignored as he focused on the girl, another face to meet.
