Firefly Glen Run, rabbit, run

She knew nothing of the relationships between her new crewpackmates, her mind only focusing on the little solar system that was her, Ondine, their sun Kjalarr, and this new little moon that orbited Ondine's mass (hah). The others were irrelevant, cold and distant, becoming nothing but background. But they would, and were, slowly but surely becoming a part of her life, whether she liked it or not.

She had met Allure once, and they were on relatively good terms. Other than Ondine, she had no other reason to despise any of them. Shrike, she had met as well, though his mistake was forgivable; he didn't ignorantly defend his misguided views. That the two of them were companions made little difference to her life, but Allure's disappearance did concern her. The sudden deaths of the previous two leaders was still recent; that another be taken so soon was startling.

Shrike's mournful and vengeful howl caught her attention drawing her to a more purposeful existance. She trotted up to the shrike-faced wolf, drawing far deeper into the woods than she had been in a long while, the muffled scent of blood pulling her forth. Is she...? She asked before seeing that there was no body, merely splatters of a crimson liquid that might have belonged to her.
