I'm not sure if he left and came back, or if he's been in the nearby territories and just very, very lost. Sort of a (re)joining thread?
As he came upon familiar surroundings— near the borders of his home, though not necessarily within them, proper— the boy couldn't help himself. He fell asleep. Dublin was exhausted, long from the safety of his birthplace, and sheer anxiety and stress has sustained him thus far. He had grown lean, his meals irregular and small, but he would bounce back quickly with proper attention. The boy had been convinced what he truly needed was to be anywhere but Neverwinter Forest, and that idea had quickly shifted as soon as he found himself on his own.The only man he could trust was himself, and the only wolves he could trust were of Neverwinter. Knowing this, feeling the comfort of his birthplace embrace him as he neared the familiar trees, Dublin had finally relaxed— and his exhaustion, seizing the weakness, pulled him into slumber.
