Ankyra Sound your bones are the spires of Stockholm

As the two leaders begin the discussion, Tirgatao's gaze drifts over to the gathered Nereides. From Kalika, with eyes as brilliant as polished sapphires, to the svelte woman with hawkish gold eyes; the soft young male, and the scrappy yearling. She wondered how many more chose to stay on the Island for this meeting, or were otherwise busy with tasks pertaining to their "sea worship." Truth be told, Tirgatao was highly curious and wished to learn more about this odd culture the Nereides seemed to be so devoted to. Kalika and Akantha both walked about the world with salt-kissed pelts, and both women seemed entirely at home on the shores of the sea. Most wolves would chose the woodlands, as Drageda had. 

Akantha spoke at length now, and Tirgatao dialed back into the conversation with a slow twist of her left ear. It trained on the earthen Matriarch while the other hovered by Heda, whom she spared a glance to. The Commander's expression was unreadable so her eyes traveled further, to where Portia had applied her healthing poultices upon their unfortunate return to Drageda a few nights prior. A concerned hand began to grasp, once again, at her throat but she buried it beneath her duty and managed to steal a bit of comfort from Dio's presence on Heda's other side. 

The others stood firm behind her—Kendra and Xan, Hush and Eske. She was glad for them and their presence today.
