Sea Lion Shores shady inference

Feint regarded the white wolf whilst she spoke. Her black ears swivelled as another bellow came from the sea lions but golden eyes stayed fixed on the alabaster Uma. A quick shake of her head in the negative answered the question. "Nope. No pack." there was a slight hint of pride in her words. She'd survived the winter, travelled great distances seen great, and recently, disgusting sights. And so far in her brief life she had managed to fend for herself well. If you ignored the obvious malnutrition, and occasional over-reaction to going without a meal, when she would convince herself she was going to starve to death.

Her head cocked to the side slightly as Uma spoke of Indie. It seemed to the young wolf that her words meant more than she said, but without experience she had no way of knowing what that might be. "She just, up and left you?" A slight snort escaped as she turned to look at the fat brown blobs once again. "Some friend." The last words came out softly. A slight furrow of her brow appeared as she idly wondered at her own sudden departure from home.
