Barrow Fields i'm still alive

The man nodded when given his orders; he positioned himself where he thought he had the best vantage point while also being well hidden, hunkered down, and waited. Uma slipped off to find the hare, and while Pendragon could trace her progress with his eyes, she vanished on more than one occasion as she prowled, and he felt a great swell of pride in her abilities. Simply being in the presence of her stealth was entertaining to him — but there was little time to observe when she went in for the hare.

Pendragon was tense. He was ready to spring, snap his teeth, and have a meal — but it all boiled down to a singular moment of which Uma had the final say. He waited patiently for her to  launch after the hare, or for the small creature to notice one of them.
