Blackwater Islands hart vs hound

She had made it from one island to the next, until finding Soteria. There were many sisters here. From time to time, as she patrolled and learned the layout of the island, Hemithea would come across one of them - or just the scent of one of them - and turn tail, changing her course. It seemed like a waste of time to live among her sisters like this, but the girl was simultaneously nervous and unsure of them.

Over the course of several days, Hemithea grew acclimated to the main island — but inevitably she sought out ways to reach the smaller ones, eager to find a spit of land where she could brood, plot, or simply be alone. It was a good chance to discover what sort of creatures lived among them here, for the islands were very different from the mainland.

This was how she came upon the Twins; tiny spits of earth carrying spires of tree growth. Hemithea thought to sit beneath the great trees and think, but once she reached the tiny island and the grove, she was too curious of the water - and too hungry. Thus she set about scouting the edge of the island for a spot to stop and fish, or at least scavenge something from the beach as the tide drifted out.
