Perhaps it is the only thing to give him the advantage because the moment she goes for his leg, he stiffens and braces for impact. He doesn’t have enough time to skirt away and her teeth latch on, causing him to wince and snarl in response, but he lowers his head to take advantage of her position. His teeth latch on to her scruff in the same moment he begins to lose his balance, stumbling back on three legs and ultimately losing his balance. Coq does not relinquish her grip, however, and instead clenches enough to pierce skin once more and take her to the ground with him.
