jhala's gaze narrowed. feyre hadn't really answered the question... she could tell that they were something, maybe not lovers but dabbling in the possibility-- but that didn't answer how or where she'd met the guy. "of course," she said slowly, sneaking a gaze at embry to eye him curiously, "but, were you scouting? did you find him on the borders? where did you two meet?" she felt that the rephrasing of the question was more clear, but was still a bit confused. she sensed embry's uncertainty, and both of their frustration, which only made her antsy. she was only doing her job. trying to clear the air a bit more, she cleared her throat.

"this isn't an interrogation-- i've got nothing against you, embry. we just have some territorial issues that i feel haven't settled-- feyre you should understand my concern," she said, a bit softer, feeling that she'd somehow offended the sylph with her questioning.
