okay, so, from what juria had learned so far... there wasn't actually much here. she'd explored. she'd met all sorts of people - most of whome did not like her, or did not want her around - and she'd seen some things. nothing too important (aside from the big lesson, avoid spooky forests!). she kept to herself and loitered near the meadow for a while, enjoying the openness of it - the nice smells, the breeze. her trail wound north until the meadow became woodland, and she knew as soon as she saw the dark band of forest that she was going to go around it.
potential to see another prose-spewing old man? no thank you!
she went east and did her best to avoid any trees, until they thinned out completely and she was met with - well - nothingness. there were flatlands and rolling grasses all around her, big fat clouds rolling through the sky, and the familiar dusty smell of warm summer grass. it was just like home. so much so that juria, upon discovering the plains, was left slack-jawed and in awe for a solid twenty minutes.
whether she found a pack or not -- maybe this was where she should stay? maybe she should just stick it out on these new plains like her mom did, and her grandparents, and everyone else that came before? her heart was filled with love for such a place; she felt an overwhelming need for it, and after a moment, sucked back a deep breath of summer air.
it felt right. it felt like it was meant to be. like home.
