Ixchel relaxed after a moment, looking to the young alpha in readiness for him to take the lead. Keeping a sizeable gap between them, she traveled just behind his shoulder; her dancing stride quicker than the broad male's earth-eating lope.

After they had gone in silence for a time, out of the blue, Ixchel remarked airily: you only thought that was a catastrophe because you feel like nothing was learned there. And you are right.
