It was something of a relief when Sylvas finally left. Sunspot hadn't missed that Liri had failed to answer her question, and she'd worried, for a moment, that the male would take that badly and decide to chase Liri off their lands. Even now, Sunspot contemplated it, knowing that she couldn't allow a stranger into these lands without at least extracting a verbal promise of goodwill.
"You will cooperate with me, won't you?" she asked again, but her voice was warm, and her eyes were trusting. What did Liri have to gain by causing trouble?
