he turned to her with defiance in his eyes, and it stokes her own flames within her. the goddess holds her tongue and allows the larger male to speak. his name was a familiar word to her in this tongue — vengeance. she had chased vengeance for many parts of her past lives and it seemed fitting that she find him again, mortalized in this red-eyed wolf's body.
Sekhmet,she intones her sacred name, her body squaring to face his.
I wanted to know who walked through these sands.
