Apologies for the kinda clunky post ;_; Other people are free to pop in now!

Like his brother, Anuniaq had been here before, last winter. He had travelled with another then and they had intended to reclaim Sawtooth Spire. Things had not gone according to plan, however, and so he left to return back to his family. Life within Tartok was harsh and unforgiving, though. Tonravik had had another litter and, being the overbearing beast he was, Anuniaq had no place there anymore. They certainly weren't going to waste energy on feeding another — rather large — mouth.

He held no resentment towards his mother, though. He knew the ways of the wild; this was just how it was. He was grateful he had come across his brother on his travels (or had Kaertok come across him?). With few words, Anuniaq understood that they shared a common goal.

As his pale brother stooped to drink, the male trotted onwards, pausing only to take in the surrounding landscape. Rolling, richly green hills lined the horizon, broken only by equally lush foliage. He narrowed his eyes at the intensely verdant scene, finding the soft grass underfoot not to his liking. He turned back just in time to catch Kaertok's questioning look. In response, the brute turned his muzzle to gesture towards the mountain to the east, the peak of which was swathed in clouds. He grunted, before moving on with a swift, purposeful stride. Onwards.
