Heron Lake Plateau giving the best of what's left

Although she seemed flighty (and Tacita thought that it made sense for her to have been), the smudge eventually gave into her own instincts and began tearing at what was left. Her eyes scanned Tacita, though she didn't mind much; she knew that a look meant the same as a thought, and a thought meant nothing. It was actions that determined consequences, therefore so long as the two of them played nice, there was no need for threat.

To hopefully ease the smudge's nerves, Tacita sat back on her haunches and curled her tail demurely in front of her. With titled head and twitching ears, she watched her company feast in (near) silence.
