Moonspear stuck in her daydream

She took in Charon's information with wide eyes, nodding sagely as she attempted to comprehend the situation better. Though the gravity of the situation would never really hit her, Vela sought to understand all that had happened. "Okay, Papa," she replied with a ghost of a smile. 

Satisfied with the information, Vela turned from her father and towards the body of water, eyeing it curiously for a moment. Even with seeing this particular scenery on a handful of occasions, something was striking in the water danced in the afternoon light. It grabbed her attention, captivating her, as she enjoyed the simplicity of the moment. In this time Vela felt her worries temporarily slip away as she enjoyed herself for the first time in a while. 

"It's pretty," she remarked quietly once her attention turned back to Charon, his eyes brimming with stars. "Has Mama been here?"
