Ezekiel loved to see Valette and her other son together, he hoped that maybe he could have a bond with his children the way she did with Nikai. But he didn't know yet of Valette's plans with them. This whole time he'd been getting prepared to be a father, he had no idea that she was going to deny him the chance. His ignorance kept him happy, but once they were born he would realize that he was only a pawn used to get what Val wanted. Until then, he would be ecstatic, and worried, and everything else that came with expecting parenthood.
