Nikai said he didn't remember Valette smelling different, which made Ezekiel's contribution to the conversation seem even less relevant. He really needed to work on his, 'giving he talk' skills. He listened to how Valette was doing it, so easily. He tried to learn as much as he could, but he knew he wouldn't be nearly as good at it as she was. Boy was he glad that she was the mother of his pups, because he needed someone with her experience to help him. She looked to him again for confirmation, and he paused.
