Burke was hungry. He visited two caches already but they all been empty. His stomach growled. Burke was an elderly wolf and he knew he didn't have the highest rank here. So he became a bit worried as two caches were empty. It would mean that there wasn't a lot of food around and if he would have to fight over a piece of meat he would most likely try but not succeed.

The older male waddled to the next one he could remember. It was good for his muscles to get this type exercise but the downside was that his energy levels were depleting further. His legs were trembling a bit with each step. Luckily for him, his nose smelled something. He started to take the eaten fox carcass out. It wasn't that fresh but at least it was something the old man could eat.
