Lagan waddled through the territory, completely oblivious of their blight. He was too high on happiness since his second meeting with Tapat to notice. His mind always shot back to talking to the other boy, about the flower that Tapat had given to him at their picnic. Tapat was so thoughtful! Lagan wondered if Tapat remembered how happy he'd made Lagan, he really hoped he did.

The silver and white yearling came across a familiar scent on his walk. Burke! Grandpa! Wanting to catch up with the guy, maybe gain some more old person wisdom, he followed the scent all the way one of the caches. There he found Burke tearing away at a fox carcass. His tail wagging, he barked, Hey grandpa! Wanna share? He trotted over to the other male and sat down beside him, reached forwards to start eating the fox as well. It might have been a bit of a dumb move, but Lagan was kind of absentminded sometimes.
