He grinned as she agreed to let him walk her home and they fell into step together. They walked in comfortable silence as the stars glittered overhead, and when they arrived at her den, Atticus touched his nose beneath her chin in a sign of respect and deference. "Good night, Blue Willow. Only good dreams now, okay?" he said to her with a smile and a wave of his tail, before turning and heading back to the tree under which he'd slept earlier. Curling up and closing his eyes with a sigh, he fell back to sleep with a grin on his face and dreamed of black fur and green eyes beneath the starlight.
