Firestone Hot Springs enthralled

 

Catori Corten wasn't sre what she was going to do. She hadn't planned on being away from the Island for so long - but then, she hadn't planned anything. This, like most of her life, was a fly-by-the-seat-of-her-pants sort of moment. She wasn't against the idea of being around Grayday more and she wasn't against the idea of a safe haven over the winter either. She gave a thoughtful hum, ear flicking against the tease of his breath along the sensitive bulb. "M'not going anywhere." She promised, nose briefly drawing a smooth line along his snout. "Besides, I've got stories and songs and tricks to share." She said warmly. 

She wasn't as good at the trade as some of her older family members but she tried, and that had to mean something. She licked her lips, tail swaying at his potential offer. "I think it might be a fun adventure once the kids are older. Could take you all across the sea - there's a sandbar, but it's a little worn so you do have to swim. It probably won't be safe enough until spring with how little the kids are and how the temperature has been." It would dip, and given how he had reacted to the bitter cold of the river, no doubt the children who weren't familiar at all would have reacted. 

"Maybe we give it a trial run. See how I fit in. If it's not a smooth fit, I can always head back and no harm, no foul. We're still close enough to visit after all." Catori didn't want to sound like she was going to force her way into his life, either, and so she wouldn't - it was an option for both their sakes, she felt.
