Burke looked up when someone was approaching. He instantly knew that it wasn't his grandson as he didn't sport such a white coat. Burke raised his docked tail and looked at him with a grimace. Did he look troubled? He didn't think so! He was perfectly fine. He severely disliked thinking that he couldn't keep up with the younger wolves. Deep down he knew this but he was just being his stubborn self.

"Why do you think I look troubled?," he instantly questioned and lifted his muzzle a bit. He squinted his eyes when the other introduced himself. He has quite the unusual coloring as well. It reminded him of that weak woman Kove used to be mated to. God, that had been a long time ago. But luckily the last name told him that it wasn't their spawn that was standing before him. They had a son, he remembered Xan, or something like that.

He quickly pushed those thoughts away. "Burke," he returned shortly. "And I did not request your presence," he also pointed out to this newbie. Still, Burke tried to tell himself that they needed new recruit and he shouldn't scare them off.
