Bearclaw Valley Be Prepared

Her sister met her, showering her in licks which Steph returned. Clary was always so affectionate, and Steph loved her all the more for it. She always knew that if she needed comfort, her dear sister would provide it. Steph took a steadying breath as she looked back at the spot she slid. She realized how much worse that could have been if she hadn't caught herself. 

Her sister's voice brought her back to the present, and Steph turned her head to see the path she was talking about. Steph nodded, Okay, let's try that way. It made sense that going at an angle would be a lot easier than straight up. At least it looked a lot safer, anyways. Her first few steps were carefully placed until they reached the path. She eased up a little then, but was still careful as they trekked up the mountain. 

Clary was right, this was going up slower, but it was also a lot easier. Steph even stopped to look down. Wow, we are so high! she said with a laugh. She had never been in a position to be able to look down at the ground, since being on top of a log sure didn't count when compared to this. They were above the treeline and Steph could see for miles, including Stone Circle. Wow, everything looks so far away, she said in awe. It was like the land just went on and on.
