Though he'd been led to believe it was to be a mild winter, the constant, chilling wind and steady snowfall disappointed him — especially since this land was so new to him. He'd believed it time to start tracking a herd of prey with their rise and fall and make his home somewhere nearby, but even food had been scarce.
He draws his tongue over his muzzle, round ears turning back against his skull as he listens carefully. He scents something although prey it is not. A girl.
Troy makes his way towards her, partially because he is lonely and partially because he is curious if she's had better luck than he, but as he nears he finds her tucked away, hidden in an old fox den.
He lets out a deep chuff to try to draw her out, keeping a respectable distance from the opening.
