Amaterasu halted the moment the younger wolf told her to. She didn't want to frighten him, after all. She laughed at his silly remark about wolves breathing fire, and then abruptly stopped laughing. Her religion told her that Gods and Goddesses existed, and that they could all do wondrous things, so why couldn't regular wolves breathe fire? Of course, that didn't mean that Ammy believed the boy, regardless, but his comment did deserve more consideration than a simple laugh-off.

"That would be interesting," she called to him from where she stood, still refusing to come any closer. She would let him come to her - if he wanted to. "I suppose if the wolf or wolves in question were blessed by the Gods, they might be able to. I was named after a Goddess who took the form of a wolf and could control the sun. So why shouldn't regular wolves breathe fire, eh?"

She grinned. She knew she was being a little ridiculous, but she couldn't help it. Her religion dictated all aspects of her life, even when it probably shouldn't have. However, she was also hoping that by continuing to speak in a friendly tone, the other wolf would come over to her of his own volition. She wanted to make new friends. She was known for being quite sociable, and always wanting to help out. She would not change that aspect of herself just because she was somewhere new.
