It seemed that the boy was not much of a talker, which was good, in Birk's opinion. He was quite a chatter-box, when he wanted to be, but lately he enjoyed more, when others either talked directly about the matters or did not speak at all.
He observed the kid's advance with an amused expression, giving some friendly wags of the tail, to indicate that he was not entirely unfriendly. Much to the older man's surprise, Ezra grabbed his ear and tugged it a little, as if to make him get up and move. Birk, who usually was not much of a softie, thought that this was kind of cute and, why shouldn't he mess with the lad for a while?
Therefore he gave a rumbling growl and lied on his side. Eyes looking up at the boy - to see, what he was about to do next.
