She isn’t often far from Kove if she can help it. She’s comfortable with him, despite how little show knows, but she finds it easy to talk in their native tongue. There is always a little extra light in his eyes when she does, knowing there are not many—if any—here to give him the same satisfaction. Today, however, she has given him a little space to further explore her new home.

She knows of the impending war and the possibilities, but she hadn’t really expected it. The forlorn call to someone else makes it her new reality. The disconnect between the others and herself makes it difficult to pursue, but the sight of another that clearly wears their scent makes the others stand out as he makes himself known to them.
 
Shivali takes a wide step from the dark wolf’s left side, tail swishes behind her briefly before she lifts and evens it with her body. She does not know her pack mate, but nor does she leave him with strangers, and she waits for the first move to be made.
