He'd managed to finally sever the head of that elder and he grabbed it by a chunk of bloody flesh, running away with it before the she wolf could return with others and kill him. He didn't know how far he had ran but the adrenaline was just starting to burn out. Pausing in the meadow he found a satisfactory spot and dropped the head, beginning to dig quickly at the cold dirt next to it. He'd bury it, mark it, and come back later when he had some sort of use for it. There was no sense in wandering around carrying a head and basically labelling yourself a murderer.
