As he was on his back, limbs still kicking he saw the boy lunge in for his stomach and reared up, forelimbs aiming to wrap around his neck and hind limbs seeking hold of the sensitive area of his groin. If it succeeded he would twist with his upper weight and push with his hind legs to throw the boy over onto the ground beside him and regain his footing to make a break for the rabbit.
