It was a momentous day in Piper's short existence; the children were maturing quickly, and reaching milestones that they weren't even aware of. Wyatt, both figuratively and literally, was still in the dark.

Wyatt was nestled against their mother's breast and had just stirred for the first time since he had begun to doze. His jowls separated suddenly, and he yawned as he came to. Despite being alert, Wyatt remained as he had been when he was asleep. Waking up was Wyatt's least favorite part of the day, and it often took some time for him to force himself away from where he had slept.
