one post cameo!
Coelho, despite her quaint namesake, truly shared no affinity for the cunicular species. Perhaps the only passing similarity was that she could be quite fast (okay, a little hare-brained at times too) -- even then despite her best efforts, those fleet-footed creatures often eluded her.
Today was not that day; clutched tight between her little teeth was the rounded form of a fat spring hare. She had every intention of sharing this succulent delight with Bronte -- but as she searched the landscape for his form, she was drawn to the distinct noise of squealing puppies.
No one in the world loved puppies more than Coelho -- her absurdly long ears swept forward, and she stopped; her muzzle high and features alert. Her keen ears worked rapidly atop her narrow skull, and once the source was detected, she joyously bounced in the direction of the den with fat, floppy hare in tow.
She cut a submissive form as she approached the newly discovered den site -- in a scramble of dirt and stone she deposited the plush hare near the mouth of the den. Then, she turned around and boogeyed right on out of there as if her tail had be lit afire.

but he did it for reasons
much older than silver.”
but he did it for reasons
much older than silver.”
