He has not strayed far from the den since the arrival of Wildfire and Thur's children. It is part some lingering paternal instinct (unlike Dio the previous year, Étoille has no mate or children of his own to keep him occupied), and part fascination in watching the tiny bodies sprout into Drageda's next generation. 

And so he has spent much of his time gently preventing the mewling creatures from their attempted escapes into the wide world around them. Today is no different: he spots his look-alike (such a strange concept) beating a quick retreat and swiftly steps in to intervene, calmly stepping front of the boy to serve as an impenetrable roadblock to the outside world. "Non, petit," the titan murmurs, voice colored with gentle amusement.
