Clary quirked her brow and snuffed a laugh through her nostrils when Valette asked if she'd noticed Ezra was different than her. "Well yeah." Was this some kind of trick question? The answer seemed too easy. "'Course he's different. He's Ezra." And that was who he was to her - the same brother she'd grown up with and known and loved ever since they'd slithered out into this world together. Of course, she knew he was a boy, but that had never seemed all too important to her. He knew how to wrestle, he knew how to listen, he knew how to love - and that was what mattered.
