He rested his chin on her head, and such a feeling of safety and security came over her that she never wanted the moment to end. The only thing better than saying the words "my love" were hearing them from him, and she crooned a little in her chest. They remained that way for some time, a comfortable silence surrounding them as they listened to the rain fall. It seemed to be slacking up some, but the clouds remained dark and desolate as a restless wind tossed the treetops and blew droplets of water fitfully around their shelter.
After a while, a thought occurred to Raven. Her voice was very soft as she spoke, "You know, there is something you could do for me." She paused a moment, then continued, "I need a den...for when the pups arrive. Something dry and cozy where they'll be safe and warm."
