He nipped her muzzle, and she giggled. She was in a good mood today. Plus there was food. If there was any sure-fire way to make a pregnant lady happy, it was bringing her food. "Yes yes, of course," she answered in a mock exasperated tone to his question, rolling her eyes in a totally over-exaggerated manner. "But only if you'll eat it with me. You're going to need lots of energy to heal up all those bangs and scrapes. You're damaged goods, babe." The latter bit was said with a coy grin and a mischievous gleam in her eyes. She liked picking on him. Grabbing one of the limp deer's legs, she beckoned him to follow her home so they could dine together by the lake. There was an ulterior motive in her inviting him back home too: she wanted him to fill his belly and then rest to give his body a chance to recover.
