Then Blixen went flying, and horrified guilt flashed through her, as if her thoughts had willed it into being. Heda's advance on the bear, combined with that moment of guilt, spurred Branwen's own. She dared another lunge nearer in hopes of making contact again; this time, her focus was spread partially over her packmates' positions and movements, concern gnawing at her in the worst possible moments.
