Varinril never told anybody what happened. Mallaidh was the first and she did not seem to comprehend the substance of her words. How could she? She is just a girl. Varinril had been a girl, at the time the incident happened; had yet to go into her first heat...The moment it happened, she knew it to be wrong. Her autonomy over mind and body had been touched in ways she was recovering from, verdicts tainted before she was grown. Would she move on from this? Could she?

Her companion picked up on her distress, tongue washing over her muzzle. Varinril's breathless sobs ceased, finding the sensation soothing. Faint whines replaced weepings, her anxieties fading. She returns the touch, her own tongue swiping across the girl's snout if and when her protector allows it. This too, she finds, is comforting.
