She was glad to hear all of her siblings had made it, but was till sad to think that this one might not. She understood, though, about not getting attached until they knew if the pup was going to make it or not. Steph dearly hoped it did, but if not, she would focus on her remaining, healthy siblings. 

Her ears perked when her mother mentioned how boring the den could get. I could watch them if you want to get out for a little bit, she offered, eager to spend some time with them.
