her mother approached and she relaxed a moment, but when she paused in her step and made no move back to the den, Faye babbled a sad little gurgle. she understood that they would not be going back just yet, and she was fine with that - yet the innate stubbornness in her had girl square her shoulders and offer one last huff, lest her mother believe for a single moment she was happy about these developments.
