she hoped feline wouldn’t pull away and she didn’t. it felt like eons since she did this. she thought this would never happen again, but there they were together like the old days. it still felt like a dream.

“nope.” max pulled away to look into feline’s eyes. “i’m staying here with a few friends. they’re really nice, you’ll like them. you should stay with us.” the words spout out at a rapid fire pace. she paused and laughed nervously when she realized it. “you could stay with me. i just— i don’t want to loose you again.”
