All Welcome
For some, keeping a secret is hard. It grates on the conscience and slams the walls of one's willpower until pieces chip off and bits of the secret can finally leak through, whether the keeper wanted that or not. It makes them feel dirty, conniving, and dishonest to those around them, especially friends and family. It whispers to them at night all of the fantasies—both wretched and lovely—about what might happen should they finally loosen their lips and let it go.

For others, like Kila, a wolf whom had been doing it her whole life and held no deep connections to anyone, therefore never felt guilty about keeping it, it was relatively easy... at least, on her mind anyway.

Regardless, whether it's morally easy or not, it does, however, require a lot of hard work, especially when her particular secret was hiding her sex.

She had to walk and sit in certain ways, she had to intentionally deepen her voice to avoid any inflections that were too feminine, and she had to go to extraneous efforts to mask her scent, as was her current activity.

Having used marshes of this caliber to mask her scent since she was young, she was pleased to stumble Felltree Marsh in her languid travels and figured it would be a good time to go "scent rolling" again, especially when the delightful scent of sea salt was blowing in from the North, promising a beach not too far ahead (well, by wolf standards anyway). That was her entire routine- roll around in swamp muck, then go wash off in the ocean. That way she could be clean while still carrying the overwhelming smell of marsh and sea.

Unashamed and unconcerned about anyone interrupting, the girl gradually slid into the deeper parts of the marsh and began dipping herself in the murky waters, being sure to cover everything except the sensitive parts of her face.
Killian is a female that presents herself as a male via having a boyish figure/voice and by covering her scent. She/her and he/him pronouns will be used interchangably depending on circumstance. Your wolf shouldn't know the truth unless she tells them, she is in heat, or they are very close and can smell the truth even through her masking. Typically, I will signal in posts if she's doing something that might give it away.
