They had moved further on with two new members following his and Serem's lead. He had two paws on a path to something he could see as great and it had brightened his mood. Unfortunately for anyone else, a bright mood for Nikan meant he often sought out his idea of fun which was tormenting or instigating others. So as they neared a lake he told Serem and the others he'd be going for a walk and to rest up and hunt if desired before trotting off.
He made his way around the lake until they wouldn't be able to hear him or keep track of his actions and was promptly distracted by a fat brown creature waddling toward the water. Grinning he ran toward it, pounced and bit into it's thick fur. He was surprised to earn a powerful smack to the face with a weird flat tail and released the being, stepping back and growling before attacking again.
