Nova Peak The Wind's Changed

I know. His voice spoke volumes in those two words; exhaustion, regret and acceptance rang through the soft spoken sentence, and he let the silence grow, thinking about what his brother would say. He hadn't run off. He should have stayed and spoke about his thoughts and nightmares. Yet he wasn't one to burden others with his problems. With that thought, he realized that without telling him, he had burdened everyone without him carrying his share of the load. Things crossed his mind, and he let them burn, a sad look resting on his face for a moment before wiping it off and smiling slightly at his sister.

 

He has every right to be upset. I didn't stay to carry my part. I just hope... His voice faded, and he shook his head, a sigh escaping his maw, the usually happy go lucky attitude gone for the moment. Nuzzling her slightly, he began to lope quietly towards his brother and other siblings, a rare sight on the big beast.
