Rannoch was a relief to Slavik. Though he'd crossed many scent trails and caught the wind carried pack scents, the last wolf he'd actually encountered was at least three weeks ago. He certainly hadn't wanted his first interaction in three weeks to be a shitty one, so the fact that Rannoch seemed a cool and friendly guy allowed Slavik to relax and feel comfortable. He always felt better when he was around others, so this was just what he needed to get his mind off all his worries.

Rannoch mentioned that he didn't smell familiar, Slavik chuckled lightly and gestured jerkily to the south from where he'd come.
