Dragoncrest Cliffs the moonchild come to harm

It surprises her the two loners reject the offer and she stares at them from across the way. What did they expect coming to someone else’s doorstep? Is it not customary to question someone’s purpose? It takes a great deal of effort as they spit on their deal and turn and walk away, feeling the urge to chase them out of the territory all together. Their faces and scents are committed to memory should they get close next time, marking themselves enemies in her book (unaware the red one already is). 

She does not notice the child’s reaction to her question and ignores her from there on, turning to Dio with a slight shrug and waiting to retreat until they are out of sight all the same.
