She said. She had never thought much about her name. Onyx. She wondered what onyx meant. Mama had never told her that. "Enemies? We have enemies?" She said. What if the wolves attacked her, and killed her, just like her uncle Crow Mama had told her about. Onyx couldn't stand the thought of being killed. She had felt little pain in her life. What pain had hurt most had been her mother's death.
