valac turned to latch it's beady eyes on the shape of a dark carnivore and the companion that followed him. the dark one did not seem to pay much mind to the winged wraith on the forest floor. this was not bothersome to the bird; it turned back to collect another scrap of meat in it's beak before positioning it's body so that it might watch the wolves.

that was when the younger one approached with the intention of stealing the meal that valac had found. the raven watched for only a moment before it spread it's wings wide and parted it's beak. without warning, the foul creature released a sharp caw, caw, caw at the wolf. valac hopped forward and aimed with sharp claws to gouge against the flesh of the predator's muzzle.
