The Sentinels [M] little blue frog

He thought he'd be safe for a while in the woods. The more he investigated them, the less likely that seemed. Whole sections of the tree line had been worked away by a terrible fire; some trees were burned-out husks, others had been turned to charcoal long ago, leaving thin spines of black behind (or nothing at all). Dingo couldn't tell if his shivering came from the nasty weather or the eerie nature of the forest, but either way, it was unpleasant.

That was of course, until he spotted the cookies-and-cream delight. The girl was wandering the wood just like him. They seemed to notice eachother at the exact same moment — cue slow-zoom to Dingo's face while his pupils ba-bumped like cartoonish hearts from his stupid face. (Okay, not really, but JB just woke up from a great nap and let's just go with it ok?).

She called out to him, her voice a whisper in the ruins. He didn't say anything but he lifted his head in a little "over here!" kind of nod, and was already sauntering over. The place seemed a lot less intimidating when you had company. As Dingo approached he called out to her, Hullo! Nasty lookin' place isn't it? Wonder what happened. He glanced around at the dark pit that had once been a nice forest, and quickly got distracted by her. I'd much rather look at you, pretty lady.
