Silver Creek with a long rush and patter of water

The smell of blood caught Wick’s attention. Her nostrils flared and her pupils dilated. She whipped around and followed the scent, but soon, the smell of wolf filled her nose. No matter. She would steal the hare away from its owner and have two or three bites of food to sustain her, or she would die in a pointless fight and crumple to the ground in a smear of crimson and pale fur. It was nearly winter. Food was becoming harder to come by and she was willing to fight for what little scraps there were left. She approached the… rather strange-looking wolf with a gleam in her eye and a growl in her throat, her eyes flickering between the wolf and its food.
